Residents of Bishember Nagar here have decried dilapidated roads in the area. A delegation from the area said that the roads in the area are dotted with potholes. “This hampers smooth pedestrian and vehicular movement,” they said.
“It is ironical that such an important link roadconnecting Munwarabad with Baba Dharam Dass Road has been left unattended. Thearea houses several hotels and offices and is thronged by visitors,” saidGhulam Mohiuddin Khan, the President of Associated Chamber of Commerce andIndustries.
“Dilapidated roads give bad impression to visitorsbesides causing inconvenience to locals. I make a fervent appeal to DeputyCommissioner Srinagar and Chief Engineer R&B department to look into thematter and direct the concerned officials to undertake immediate repairs on theroads in the area,” he said.
