In a significant development, representatives of over 20 localities of Downtown under amalgam of Shahar-i-Khaas Welfare Coordination Committee pledged to fight drug abuse.
In a statement, the Committee stated that during a meetingthe rising trend of the drug abuses in Kashmir was deliberated upon.
“The members pledged to carry forward the mission of thecoordination committee to fight for eradication of drug addiction ” thestatement reads.
The coordination urged Imams to aware masses particularlythe youth about the ill-effects of drug abuse.
