Traders of Downtown have expressed resentment over unscheduled power cuts in Old City despite improvement in weather.
The traders under the banner of Shaher-e-Khaas traders coordination committee said the power outages have affected their business. “Unscheduled load-shedding particularly evening hours is taking a toll on our business as well as affecting education of students,” said chairman, Shahar-e-Khaas traders coordination committee, Nazir Ahmad Shah.
“Frequent power cuts during business hours has lead to considerable drop in customer footfall,” he said. Shah said the authorities should supply power supply as per schedule. “Authorities are making taking tall claims of uninterrupted power supply, but power-cuts are taking a toll on Downtown residents.
Shah said demanded installation of dustbins to shops and households in Downtown.
