A drug peddler was arrested at Nowshera area here today.
“One person identified as Mehraj ud din Rather ofChanapora Nowshera was arrested at a checkpoint near Vicharnag Nowshehra fordrug supply offences. He has been taken to Police Station Soura where heremains in custody. Officers at the checkpoint have seized huge quantity ofcontraband substances which include banned pharmaceutical substances,”police said in a statement. it said the naka was laid by SHO Police StationSoura Syed Waseem Jehangir under thesupervision of SDPO Hazratbal Rameez Rashid Bhat.
Accordingly a case FIR No. 40/2019 under relevant sectionsof law stands registered at Police Station Soura. Further investigation in thematter is going on.
