EMMRC KU urges students to use digital education platform

In the academic interest of the students Educational Multi Media Research Centre University of Kashmir (EMMRC) KU has suggested the students that they can still study from the safety of their homes.

In a statement, Director EMMRC KU Dr Shahid Rasool “We urgethe students to reach on the digital education platform being provided by theConsortium for Educational Communication in collaboration with EducationalMultimedia Research Centres ((EMMRC) KU.”

   

“We fully support the initiatives being taken by the Governmentof India in fighting the COVID-19. As a precautionary measure classes have beensuspended in most of the educational institutions in India.  Nevertheless, the students can still studyfrom the safety of their homes. For this we urge them to reach on the digitaleducation platform being provided by the Consortium for EducationalCommunication in collaboration with Educational Multimedia Research Centres((EMMRC),” said Dr Shahid Rasool Director EMMRC KU.

He added while being at home the students could connect withthe CEC digital education platforms for the courseware available as:  E-content courseware in 87 undergraduatesubjects available on CEC website.  11subject based SWAYAM Prabha DTH channels available on DD free dish, Dish TV andReliance Jio mobile App. These channels are providing curriculum basededucational programs including live lectures in various Higher educationsubjects which include Humanities, Science, Management, Professional courses,Computer science and Indian and classical music.

He said these channels are free to air and can also beaccessed through your cable operator.  UG and PG MOOCs which were earlier delivered on SWAYAM Platform arebeing archived and may be accessed by any learner (even not registered in thecourses) on: http://ugcmoocs.inflibnet.ac.in/ugcmoocs/moocs_courses.php

“In current semester, CEC is also delivering more than 150SWAYAM MOOCs for Under Graduate and Post Graduate level. Besides, students canalso go to CEC-UGC YouTube channel and make use of unlimited educationalcurriculum based lectures absolutely free that could help them keep pace withacademics at this hour of distress,” said Dr Shahid Rasool.
