‘First COVID19 patient recovers’ latest test negative’

Director Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) here has said that the latest test of first COVID19 patient has come negative.

The patient, a woman from Srinagar had travel history toSaudi Arabia. A doctor at the SKIMS confirmed that the patient, who earliertested positive, has “fully recovered”.

   

“The 65-year-old woman has fully recovered as her fresh testhas come negative,” the doctor said.

Meanwhile, Director SKIMS, Dr A G Ahangar maintained thatwoman patient was keeping well. Her latest test has come negative. He said thepatient was under quarantine.

He appealed people to take all precautions and stay indoorsto combat the deadly pandemic.

“There is no need to panic. We can break the chain if wekeep ourselves confined indoors and maintain social distancing”, the Directorsaid.The J&K healthdepartment has issued several advisories asking people to stay indoors andavoid social gathering to prevent spread of infection. The Valley is underlockdown for the past more than a week as a measure to prevent spread of theinfection.
