Former Principal Chief Conservator Forests, Haji Abdul Rashid Khan passed away at his residence at Barzulla here on Wednesday afternoon.
Survived by his wife, four sons and three daughters, Khangraduated in Forestry from the University College of North Wales, England in1945 and was one of the foremost authorities on Forestry Sciences andConservation in the State.
Khan is the son of former Chief Engineer Haji Ghulam HassanKhan and the son-in-law of veteran Kashmiri leader Khwaja Ghulam Ahmed Ashai.His Nimaaz-e-Jinaza will be offered on Thursday at 11:00 am at Masjid WazirMuhammad Khan at Barzulla
