The World Arbor Day was celebrated on by the Department of Environmental Science Eco-club in collaboration with NSS Wing of the Government College for Women, M A Road College, here today.
TheDepartment of Environmental science and NSS wing of the college took aninitiative of developing a Horticulture Park in the hostel ground in thecollege campus. Various fruit trees were planted by the Principal of theCollege, Prof. (Dr.) Yasmeen Ashai andother faculty members.
Highlighting theimportance of plantation and preservation of green gold, Prof. Ashai said thatpreserving the environment for posterityis of prime importance in the current environmental scenario.
