Green Valley Educational Institute celebrated World Arbour Day today in collaboration with the Department of Social Forestry, J&K.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary district development commissioner, Srinagar, was the chief guest of the event. He planted saplings in the campus. It was followed by plantation drive by students of GVEI.
Later function was held in the school auditorium highlighting importance of the day. Chairman GVEI, MY Wani and principal Prof. Razia Sultana presented mementos to the chief guest and to the guest of honour.
