Horses pose threat to Madina Enclave inhabitants

As if stray dogs were not enough, now fast-racing horses are becoming a new danger for passers-by especially school going children here!

A delegation of residents of Madina Enclave Rawalpora saidthat in absence of any regulation by authorities, horse owners are having afield day in the colony. “They leave their horses unattended in thecolony. Presence of horses poses risk to inhabitants especially children,”they said.

   

“My five year old child was almost rolled over by ahorse”, said a woman residing in the locality.

The aggrieved residents appealed Commissioner SrinagarMunicipal Corporation to impose a heavy fine on horse owners if their herd isspotted on roads.
