The Divisional Commissioner KashmirBaseer Ahmad Khan today directed for making areas housing educationalinstitutions, hospitals and courts as ”no horn zones”.
“Any person found violating the orders shall be dealtstrictly as per the law,” he said, asking officers to ensure installation ofmaximum number of sign boards in this regard near hospitals, educationalinstitutions and courts.
Meanwhile, Khan directedofficers concerned to take strict action against tipper drivers found involvedin ferrying uncovered building material across the city, which leads to flyingoff the material particles causing air pollution, besides polluting waterbodies.
He said the violators of the order shall be dealt as per thelaw.
