Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mir Tariq Ali chaired a meeting to review progress of various projects being executed under AMRUT and JTPRF here at Municipal central office Karan Nagar.
In a statement, SMC spokesperson said during the meeting,various components of AMRUT including storm water drainage at different placesin Srinagar, sewerage, Urban Transportation, Development of Multi level parkingand Green spaces were reviewed at length. It was informed in the meetingthat 30 projects have been identified under AMRUT. Out of these, 29 projectshave been tendered
Commissioner was also apprised that five projects have gotcompleted including storm water drainage Mallabagh, storm water drainageGangbugh, Extension of Tulip Garden, development of Bemina park and Idle parkat Pantha Chowk.
Stressing on submission of report on the prescribed formatfor completed projects, Commissioner reviewed status of reforms under AMRUT andstatus of NOCs to be sought from other departments. It was also identified that19 projects are under execution.
Besides a review of all the projects and procurement alongwith physical and financial status ofprojects thereof was also taken .
Among others, the meeting was attended by AdditionalCommissioner SMC Nazir Ahmed Baba, FA/CAO Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Joint CommissionerAdm Syed Abul Qasim, Joint Commissioner Works SMC, S.E Drainage circle, DeputyDirector P&M SMC.
