Residents of Shivpora here appealed chief engineer irrigation and flood control to direct concerned authorities to immediately repair damaged river embankment in area.
A delegation from the area led by Muhammad Abbas Bhat saidthat river embankment at Yatoo Mohalla have developed longitudinal cracks andcaved in.
“These cracks have developed exactly at the place where wewitnessed bund breach in 2014. The fresh cracks are cause of worry for theentire locality,” he said.
The residents appealed chief engineer irrigation and floodcontrol Ashok Kumar to direct concerned authorities to immediately repair thedamaged embankment forthwith.
