Journalist hold candle light vigil to remember Shujaat Bukhari

The Kashmir Working Journalists Association (KWJA) on Monday evening organized a candlelight vigil to express solidarity with late Syed Shujaat Bukhari who was assassinated on June 14 outside his office here. 

The event was organised in collaboration with Kashmir Television Journalist Association and Video Journalists Association and other independent media professionals. At around 7 pm scores of journalists gathered outside Press Club here, and lit candles to show solidarity with the slain editor. 

   

Several journalists made speeches to throw light on life and work of Bukhari, who was founder editor of Rising Kashmir.  Later, a condolence prayer was held during which participants prayed for departed soul.
