JRL, JMF, Abdullahs, Lone, Mehbooba, Hizb condemn

The Joint Resistance Leadership and the Jammu Muslim Front strongly condemned the grenade blast at Jammu bus stand on Thursday.

In a statement, the JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, MirwaizUmar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik said that attacks on unarmed civilians”are most reproachful acts which should be condemned by all civilised humans.”

   

Praying for speedy recoveryof those injured in the blast, the JRL said “our hearts go to those familieswhose kith and kin have lost their lives or got injuries in this blast and weexpress our solidarity with them.”

Condemning what it called a”cowardly act of the miscreants”, the JMF in a statement appealed to the peopleof Jammu division to “rise above party levels and work together in fighting themischievous elements.”

“The blast was carried outto destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu. The JMF will help theadministration in every respect to put a check on the miscreants. The people ofJammu need to be more vigilant as mischievous elements are in search of anopportunity to spoil peaceful atmosphere,” the statement read.

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and vice-president Omar Abdullah strongly condemned the blast at Jammu bus stand. “It is a tragic incident of violence. I am deeply saddened by the casualty and injuries to many. I urge the incumbent administration to provide best of medical treatment to the injured.

I also pray for speedy recovery of the injured and strength to those who have lost their loved one in the incident,” Farooq said in a statement.

Omar said: “Terrorism has no religion. I strongly condemn the incident. Violence has no place in today’s world.

Such incidents should not deflect us from the cherished ideals of inter-communal harmony. I pray for the injured in today’s grenade attack. I also extend my sympathies to the family who has lost its loved one in the incident.”

Peoples Conference chairman SajadGani Lone strongly condemned the grenade blast. “It is a senseless and condemnable act of violence. I am deeply pained to hear about the loss of a young boy from Uttarakhand and injury to many others.

My heart goes out to the bereaved family and I pray for speedy recovery of the injured.”

Condemning the attack, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said, “My prayers for speedy recovery of those injured. The perpetrators are out there to inflict pain and divide us.

Our unity has to be our tool to defeat them.” “In ths (this) time of grief and outrage, attempts will be made to divide us. Religions and identities will be pitted against each other. Hindu vsMus (Muslim); Jam vsKash (Jammu versus Kashmir). Our pain musnt (must not) fuel such diabolical plans. Because eventually, the axe forgets but the tree remembers,” she tweeted.

Hizb-ul-Mujahideencondemned the blast at Jammu bus stand.

In a tele-statement tolocal news-gathering agency KNS, Hizb’s operational spokesman Burhan-u-Din saidthat Hizb chief Syed Salahudin, deputy chief Saifullah Khalid and fieldoperational commander Mohammad Bin Qasim have condemned the Jammu blast.”Burhan-u-Din blamed agencies for today’s attack in Jammu, saying that they(agencies) are defaming the sacred freedom struggle in Kashmir by resorting tosuch kind of actions on innocent people”,” the statement read.
