On the second consecutive day, scores of people from Karnah staged protest at Press Enclave here to press for their demand for construction of the Sadhna tunnel at Sadhna pass.
The protestors said successive regimes have failed toconstruct tunnel at Sadhna Pass. “Government is not serious about constructionof Sadhna tunnel,” said Ghulam Qadir one of the protestors
“Avalanches at Sadhna Pass have consumed many lives. We arenot demanding jobs but only construction of tunnel at Sadhna to save lives,” hesaid.
The residents also decried lack of basic amenities inKarnah. “Government has denied us basic amenities,” they rued.
