As part of its series Allama Iqbal Library (AIL), University of Kashmir conducted Meet the Eminent program with Zareef Ahmad Zareef during which Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir was the Chief Guest.
In his address, Prof. Talat Ahmad congratulated theorganisers for conducting such events where eminent personalities of thesociety are invited.
He further said that these events act as platform whereideas are exchanged for the betterment of the society. He also mentioned thecontribution of Zareef Ahmad Zareef especially for preservation of Chinar Treesin the valley. He also felicitated Zareef Ahmad Zareef during the programme.
During the welcome address, Prof. GM Peerzada Librarian AILhighlighted the contribution of Zareef Ahmad Zareef towards Kashmiri Culture,literature etc.
Zareef Ahmad Zareef elaborated his personal experience andprofessional life before the audience. He quoted many famous Kashmiri versesfrom his own poetry and from other authors as well which enthralled theaudience.
During the panel discussion Prof. Shafi Shouq, Rafeeq Razhighlighted the personal experiences with Zareef Ahmad Zareef and elaboratedthe contribution made by him towards the society. The award winning book ofZareef Ahmad Zareef (Tchonchi Poot) was reviewed by these experts alongwithShahbaz Hakbari. Dr. Mohammad IshaqLone, Assistant Librarian, Allama Iqbal Library also spoke on the occasion.
