Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) Monday carried out demolition drives in several areas of the summer capital Srinagar.
A statement said the enforcement wing of the LAWDA carried out the drive in Harwan, Saidakadal, Nishat and Habak areas, in collaboration with local police stations.
The statement said a plinth, two single-storey structures and third storey raised by violators while taking undue advantage of the prevailing situation in the valley were dismantled by the demolition squads. he statement said FIRs were registered in the police stations concerned against the violators.
