Army on Saturday evening hosted an iftar party here 15 Corps headquarters on Saturday evening.
The iftar party was hosted by General officer commanding –in-Chief Northern Command Lt General Ranbir Singh. GOC 15 Corps Lt General K JS Dhillion was also present on the occasion.
The politicians who attended the party included NationalConference patron and Member Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah, former J&K Finance Minister AltafBukhari, senior NC leader Basharat Bukhari, Peoples Conference Chairman SajadLone, PC leader Imran Ansari, NC leader Nazir Gurezi, Khalid Jehangir of BJP ,Yusuf Tarigami of CPIM , Chairman JK Peoples Movement Shah Faesal and UsmanMajid of Congress.
Among the bureaucrats who attended the party includedAdvisors K Vijay Kumar, Khursheed Ganie, Chief Secretary K V R Subrahmanyam,Director General of Police, Dilbagh Singh, Additional Director General ofPolice, Dr B Srinivas, Inspector General of Police, S P Pani, DIG centralKashmir range VK Birdhi, Deputy Commissioner Budgam Syed Sehrish Asgar, andDeputy Commissioner Pulwama Syed Abid Rashid.
Earlier GOC-in-chief accompanied by Advisor Kumardistributed gifts among inmates of an orphanage.
In his address Lt Gen Ranbir Singh wished the people happyRamadhan and Eid-ul-Fitr. He along with other guests prayed for peace inKashmir.
