Muslim League Jammu Kashmir condemned, what it termed government’s attempt to prolong the detention of its incarcerated chairman MasratAalamBhat, by not presenting him before the court for trial and releasing him after the High Court quashed his 37th PSA.
“Despite clear cut orders, MasaratAalam is not beingpresented before the court for trial. Authorities don’t pay heed to the courtorders,” a ML spokesman said in a statement.
Earlier this week the High Court quashed the detention Alamand directed the government to release him from preventive detention “if notrequired in any other case”.
