Mirwaiz, Bilal Lone visit incarcerated Yasin Malik’s residence

Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday visited residence of incarcerated chairman of JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik at Maisuma here, to express solidarity with his family. Mirwaiz was accompanied by senior Hurriyat leader Bilal Gani Lone.

In a statement a Hurriyat (M) spokesman said that Mirwaizmet the mother and sisters of JKLF chief. “The Hurriyat leadership demandedthat Malik’s wife and daughter who are based in Pakistan be granted visa totravel to Kashmir on humanitarian basis,” the spokesman said.

   

Expressing concern over Malik’s arrest, the Hurriyatleadership also questioned issuance of NIA summon to grandson of Hurriyat GChairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, after notice to his two sons, and anothernotice to daughter of senior incarcerated separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah.

The spokesman said that policies of “intimidations can’tchange the basic reality about Kashmir issue and the need to resolve”.

The spokesman said Kashmir issue was purely humanitarian andpolitical issue and until this dispute was addressed politically, peace willremain a casualty in Kashmir and the subcontinent.
