On quarantine completion, 78 people who travelled from Leh back to their homes

78 travellers who had returned from Leh and were put under 14-day quarantine in Srinagar were allowed to go home on Tuesday after completing the quarantine period.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary told Greater Kashmir that group of 78 people who belonged to various parts of Kashmir like Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama and a few from Chanapora and Nishat, who came from Leh in a flight and were put under quarantine were allowed to go home after completing mandatory quarantine period.

“Out of these 78 people, 52 were travellers including businessmen while 26 were students. They had arrived at Srinagar Airport on March 17 and most of them belonged to Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, Srinagar, Ganderbal,” Choudhary said. “ All of them were cooperative during the quarantine period and did not complain of anything.

They were under proper medical observation. Now that they have successfully completed quarantine, they have been allowed to return back home,”  Choudhary said.
