Patwaris play hide and seek: Flood victims

A delegation of flood victims from west City said for the past around a month they have been trying to contact the concerned Patwari. “But he is never at his office,” the flood victims said.

Complaining that they were not satisfied with the survey of losses, some flood victims said they were unable to register their grievances as the concerned staff particularly the Patwaris continue to be out of reach.

A delegation of flood victims from west City said for the past around a month they have been trying to contact the concerned Patwari. “But he is never at his office,” the flood victims said.

This is despite the fact that the government has made it mandatory for the Patwaris to be present at their respective offices from 10:30 AM to 1: 00 PM. Last month the administration had claimed to have constituted a Task Force to look into the allegations.  “What prevents the authorities from initialing action against such erring officials?” the flood victims asked.

They appealed the District Development Commissioner to look into the matter on priority.
