PCPG meetings held in MR Gunj, Lal Bazar, Parimpora

A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held Elaqaie Behbood Committee Takanwari Safa Kadal in the office of the SDPO Maharaj Gunj. 

The meeting was chaired by SDPO Maharaj Gunj S M Shafi. Various aspects of police community groups were discussed. “The relationship between Police and Public vis-a-vis crime control and detection, social issues, issues related to basic amenities and counselling of youth with regard to unrest were discussed at length,” police spokesperson said in a statement.  

   

“Participants informed about some self styled community groups created by some miscreants for their vested interests who operate in the area and carry out misdeeds by means of their blackmailing tactics. They try to weaken the sustained efforts of Police against crime and criminals by various means. Serious notes were taken of the comprehensive discussion and it was mutually held that every productive step with regard to public welfare would be taken by police and all criminal tendencies would be neutralised instantly,” the statement said. Discussions were held with regard to drug peddling and drug addiction and the way to curb this menace.

“Public friendly activities of the SDPO MR Gunj were hailed by all participants and more steps to strengthen the relations between Police and public were also discussed,” they said. 

On the directions of senior police officers, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held at police station Lal Bazar here.

The meeting was chaired by SHO Lal Bazar, Riyaz Ahmad was attended by large number of people of the area including Mohalla committee and civil society members. 

“The participants highlighted various issues of public importance and other issues relevant to police and civil administration. Participants assured their full support and cooperation in fighting against the social crimes,” police spokesperson said in a statement. 

Responding to the issues highlighted by the participants, SHO Lal Bazar assured them that issues pertaining to police will be solved at the earliest and the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority.

Meanwhile, PCPG meeting was held at police station Parimpora. The meeting was chaired by SP City West, Gurinderpal Singh and was attended by SHO Parimpora Mehraj-ud-din as well as  by respectable citizens of area  including civil society members. 

The participants highlighted various issues of public importance  and other issues relevant to police and civil administration. “Discussion was also held regarding forthcoming Panchayat elections,” the statement said.  

SP City West assured them that issues pertaining to police will be solved in shortest possible time and the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal
