A mega plantation drive was organized by Department of Wildlife Warden Central Division Srinagar in core area of Dachigam National Park.
The plantation drive was attended by school children fromvarious schools of near vicinity at Dachigam National Park,
The plantation drive was inaugurated by Rashid Y. Naquash,regional Wildlife Warden Kashmir. The drive was conducted under the slogan”BLUE PLANET —-GREEN THEME” “ALL AROUND GREEN LET’S MAKE IT PRISTINE”.
On the occasion, demonstration about plantation techniquewas given Altaf Hussain, wildlife Warden Central Division. Office of the ChiefWildlife Warden was represented by Dr. Sameena, research officer.
“We intend to plant one lakh plants in the core area of Dachigam National Park which mostly include various fruit bearing plants besides conifers,” Naqash said.
The drive was also attended by members of civil society,NGO’s represented by Nadeem Qadri, executive director WCF, Nazir be Nazirchairman, National society for protection of water resources.
