Chairperson JKBOSE, Prof Veena Pandita Friday visited State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) at Bemina here to take first hand appraisal of its functioning.
During the visit, Prof Pandita , who is also holding the charge of Director SCERT, interacted with all the faculty members of SIE, to have an overall view of the functioning of the institution. She also visited various departments of the SIE to take stock of the measures put in place by the Education department.
On the occasion, Prof Pandita emphasised that the main role of the SCERT, apart from other functions, was to have qualitative improvement of School Education and for this entire team needed to work together to achieve the envisaged objectives and goals of excellence in education.
Later, she chaired a meeting with the functionaries of the SIE and discussed various measures and modalities to strengthen the education system in the present circumstances.
