‘Public grievances being redressed in time bound manner’

Advisor to Governor, KK Sharma Saturday said the Government has ensured that the grievances projected by different sections of society are redressed in a time bound manner.

He said requisite directions have also been passed to thedifferent departments for ensuring that the pace of various flagship schemeswas speed up to ensure benefit to people.

   

The Advisor was interacting with several deputations whocalled on him from different areas of Kashmir during his public interactionprogram at Governor’s Grievance Cell at church lane here today.

Senior Officers of different departments including Chief Engineers,SEs of R&B, PHE, I&FC, LAWDA, SDA, PDD, Finance and line departmentswere present during the meeting.

Around 30 deputations comprising more than 300 people, andseveral individuals met the Advisor to seek redressel of their grievances.

The delegation of technicians of PDD department raised theissue of stagnation of their services and called for undertaking necessaryexercise for their promotions.

Deputation from Zadibal, Haltangu (Sopore), Budgam, Khag,Chadoora, Firdousabad and Salafiabad areas of Batamaloo and HMT, andHakabara-Kulsumbagh in Bandipora, Shopian and Gund Kilam in Kulgam raised theissues concerning their areas. A deputation of employees of Urban Local Bodiesfederation raised issue of non-payment of 7th pay commission arrears and otherservice issues.

The Advisor after giving a patient hearing assureddeputations that all their genuine demands would be looked into and theofficers would be directed to address the projected grievances at an earliest.
