Rawalpora residents seek shifting of waste dumper

Residents of Rawalpora have decried failure of authorities to resolve problems confronting the locality 

In a statement, the residents said Rawalpora society andmanagement of Government Higher Secondary school Barzalla Rawalpora held ameeting to discuss various issues.

   

The statement said the meeting was chaired by Abdul MajeedDar president of the society. On the occasion, the members sought removal ofthe dustbin from the main entrance of the school. 

“We have time and again asked the concerned authorities toshift the dustbin to other place as it attracts stray dogs and poses threat tostudents as well as common people. More than 30 dog bite incidents have beenreported in the locality,” Dar said.

“In addition to the canine menace, stink emanating fromgarbage has involved students and residents in different chronic diseases,” hesaid.
