Family members of incarcerated Sarjan Barkati staged protest at Press Colony here demanding his release
“I stepped out of my house to purchase milk and fewmasked men tried to strangulate me. My children raised an alarm and theattackers fled the spot. I fell unconscious and later was taken to hospital. Wehave been sleeping at our neighbors house as we don’t feel safe,” said ShabrozaBarkati, wife of Sarjan Barkati. “We have lodged an FIR in concernedpolice station and police has stated investigation, he said.
“We are facing immense problem since 2016 when myhusband was booked under PSA. We appeal authorities to release myhusband,” she said.
