The inhabitants of Naik Mohalla also alleged that they are facing plethora of problems particularly that of power supply post-floods.

From shortage of ration to erratic power supply, the flood affected residents of Naik Mohalla Shiv Pora have accused the authorities of turning blind-eye to their miseries. 

A delegation of locals said: “Despite announcements made by the previous government about providing free ration of 35 kgs per family to the flood hit families, the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department officials posted in our area are distributing only 25 kg per family while many families didn’t get free ration at all.”

The inhabitants of Naik Mohalla also alleged that they are facing plethora of problems particularly that of power supply post-floods. 

“Even though our area is fully metered, we are facing constant power curtailments which have become a cause inconvenience,” they said. 

Meanwhile, the locals urged the authorities to look into their grievances.
