The family members of a youth, Tabish Nazir, of Sugan Shopian Monday staged protest here seeking his release.
They said Nazir was arrested in connection with Amshipora, Shopian encounter.
“On August 12, my son Tabish Nazir was arrested,” said Nazir Ahmed Malik while protesting at Press Colony. “We seek his release as he is innocent,” he said.
