Srinagar Municipal Corporation conducted a massive sanitation drive in Shaher-e Khaas areas.
The drive was organised at the request of Shaher-e Khaas Traders Coordination Committee who hailed SMC’s Chief Sanitation Officer Mudasir Hussain Bandey for personally monitoring the drive.
Bandey, as per the traders assured them that urinal points would be constructed at Zaina Kadal.
The mohallas where the drive was conducted include, Zainakadal, Bohri Kadal, Gadakocha, Nallahmar, Khanqah, Gadbazar and other areas in Shaher-e Khaas.
According to Nazir Ahmad Shah, Chairman Shahr-e Khaas Traders Coordination Committee, it was a long pending demand which was redressed by SMC’s Chief Sanitation Officer by successfully involving men and machinery for the drive.
“Apart from the cleanliness drive, the important announcement about the construction of urinal points at Zaina Kadal was much awaited assurance,” said Nazir Ahmad.
The traders, who were present on the occasion include Share-khaas Coordination Committee chairman, chief organiser Nasrrullah Bazaz, spokesman Afaq Bhat and Secretary Altaf Wani and others.
