Snake spotted near Omar Abdullah’s residence in Kashmir capital Srinagar

A venomous snake was spotted near the official residence of former Jammuand Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah,reports said on Saturday.

Quoting official sources, news agency GNS reported that a team from thewildlife department was deputed to the spot which caught the snake.

   

“A Wildlife SOS team in Srinagar rescued the highly dangerous snake,spotted at Omar Abdullah’s residence on May 9 and it was released in Dachigam,”said a source, according to GNS.

“The Viper, locally called ‘Gunas’ is extremely venomous,” it said,adding, “The snake was rescued by Aliya Mir.”

In 2017, a cobra was found at the residence of former Chief MinisterMehbooba Mufti in Jammu.
