The Srinagar district election authorities have put in place arrangements to facilitate intending Persons with Disabilities or PwD voters requiring assistance with carriage to polling stations to cast their votes in Lok Sabha elections to the Srinagar PC tomorrow.
The arrangements include to-and-from carriage whereinintending PwD voters will be carried from home to polling stations and back tohome.
The arrangements are in addition to a range of other arrangementsincluding ramp facilities made in all polling stations across the district.
District Election Officer Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said amultitude of arrangements as per the guidelines of the Election Commission ofIndia have been made to ensure smooth conduct of elections in the district.
