Srinagar should have all season flower garden: NATA

Nigeen Lake Traders Association (NATA) president, Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo today said owing to global popularity of Tulip Garden, Srinagar should have all-season flower garden.

“Tulip Garden attracts tourists from around the world for a month. However, it remains closed for 11 months a year. Hundreds of varieties of flowers can be cultivated in different seasons of Kashmir.

Government can utilise Tulip Garden for planting different varieties of flowers in different seasons. This way the Tulip Garden will remain open for round the year and government in collaboration of stakeholders can organise flower festivals every month,” Wangnoo said. He said this will help to promote the Tulip Garden as all season garden and urged the authorities to look into the suggestion.
