The office of State Haj Committee today issued a notice informing that all such aspiring female pilgrims who could not apply for Hajj pilgrimage this year can apply for inclusion in the cover of her selected mehram, after fulfilling certain conditions.
The notice said the facility will be available for theaspiring female pilgrims who were could not apply for non-availability ofpassport or any other genuine reasons while their male companions (mehram) hadapplied and got selected for Hajj 2019.
The Committee in their notification informed that theconditions include that such female pilgrims had never proceeded for Hajjpilgrimage through Hajj Committee, PTO or through any other means earlier.”The female pilgrim desirous to be selected in Mehram category has to fillup the application online, which shall be available onwebsitewww.hajcommittee.gov.in,” it said.
Furthermore it said the female pilgrim should have onlymachine readable valid international passport, which should be valid atleast upto 31 January 2020. The valid documents including passport copy should beenclosed to prove the relationship of the female applicant with the mehramfailing which the application would be summarily rejected. Besides the pilgrimscover should not exceed five applications. “The pilgrims whose cover hasalready five pilgrims need not to apply in such cover.”
“The hard copy of the online filled application form inoriginal along with the requisite documents should be submitted at the officeof J&K State Haj Committee, Bemina by or before 06 May, 2019. Applicationsdirectly sent to Hajj Committee of India will not be considered and shall besummarily rejected. However the applicants from Jammu and Ladakh region cansubmit their application forms through email onjkstatehaj@gmail.com,” itadded.
