Students stage protest, seek relaxation in syllabus

The undergraduate students from different colleges Monday staged a protest at Press Colony here, demanding relaxation in their syllabus for upcoming examination for 5th and 6th semesters.

The protesting students said since examination for the twosemesters were being held jointly after three months authorities at KashmirUniversity should lessen their syllabus by 50 per cent to “give us sigh ofrelief”.

   

The students said they started their undergraduate coursesin 2016 and were supposed to finish them in 2018. “But our two semesters arestill incomplete,” they said.

“How can we complete the syllabus of two semesters in fourmonths?” the protesting students asked. The students urged authorities tofulfill their “genuine demand”.  “We arehopeful that the administration will look into the issue and fulfill ourdemand,” the protesting students said.
