Teachers threaten protest on Eid over pending salaries

The erstwhile SSA teacher, who were absorbed in the state education department as Grade-II teachers have threatened to stage protest here on Eid if the government failed to release the pending salary.

In a statement issue the spokesman of the association said the government has denied them salary for past more than four months which has made it difficult for them to make both ends meet.

“The department has also halted regularisation of left out graduate teachers who enhanced their qualification during services and the report for regularisation of 10+2 SSA teachers has not been tabled so far,” the spokesman said. “The administration should ensure that the orders of left out teachers are issued in a shortest possible time. The issue of 10+2 teachers should also be resolved, otherwise we will celebrate Eid at Pratap Park as a mark of protest against the administration,” the spokesman said.
