Residents of Madina Enclave at Rawalpora here have expressed concern over theft incidents in the locality from past few weeks.
A group of aggrieved residents said several houses were burgled in the area recently. “Ironically, police has failed to nab the accused. Theft incidents in the locality have created sense of insecurity among the inhabitants.
It seems the thieves are part of some organised gang as they easily enter houses and decamp with valuables,” they said.
“We make a fervent appeal to DIG Kashmir to look into the matter and direct the concerned police officers to maintain vigil in the area and conduct patrolling to restore sense of security and nab the accused at the earliest,” they added.
