In view of visit of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Traffic Police Srinagar Tuesday issued traffic advisory on restrictions of vehicular movement to SKICC on 26 and 27 June.
According to the advisory, no motorist shall be allowed toply towards Nishat, Shalimar, Harwan and adjacent areas via Badyari Chowk andGupkar. “Similarly no traffic shall be allowed to ply from Ram Munshibaghtowards Grand Place and shall be diverted towards Dalgate-Khayam for theirrespective destinations on 26 and 27 June.
“Likewise, motorists intending to travel fromHarwan-Shalimar-Nishat, Ganderbal and other adjacent areas towards Lal Chowkare requested to travel via Hazratbal-Lal Bazar route instead ofForeshore-Boulevard road axis to reach respective destinations. Motoristsintending to travel from Dalgate, Lal Chowk and adjacent areas towardsHarwan-Shalimar-Nishat shall adopt Nowpora-Khayam-Rainawari via Dargah-Zakoorato reach their respective destinations,” the advisory reads.
According to Traffic police, vehicles of the tourists whoare residing in Dal and Nishat area and emergency service vehicles are exemptedfrom the said restriction. “However, they are advised to restrict theirmovement to minimum requirement on Boulevard-Foreshore road axis,” itstates.
According to the advisory, timing for the trafficrestriction as ordered by District Magistrate Srinagar will be from 8:00 am to10:30 pm on 26 June and 7 am to 4 pm on 27 June.
