Police on Thursday said it recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused within 12 hours of the incident.
A police spokesperson said that a local Bashir Ahmad lodgeda complaint stating that his daughter has been kidnapped by one Adil AhmadLangoo of Habakadal.
“Acting swiftly on the complaint, police recovered thekidnapped girl and also arrested the accused within 12 hours,” a spokesman saidin a statement.
Meanwhile Police organized a meeting with people at Nishatpolice station here.
The meeting, chaired by Station House Officer, Nishat, wasattended by prominent citizens of adjacent areas of Nishat, the spokespersonsaid.
“The main aim of the meeting was to facilitate interactionwith citizens and allow their participation in community policing, and to providethem with an opportunity to voice their concerns freely,” he said
