BSF asked to be wary of Pakistan BAT attacks

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have been alertedabout possible ambushes by the Border Action Team (BAT) of Pakistan along theInternational Border.

Greater Kashmir learnt that intelligence agencies havespotted Pakistan army’s ‘Maroon Beret’ Special Service Group (SSG) commandosnear the IB opposite Hiranagar and Ramgarh areas.

   

SSG commandos are generally part of BAT commando teams thatare used to strike targets and posts in the Indian territory, a BSF officialsaid, and added that BSF soldiers have been asked to be vigilant.

PANIC IN SAMBA VILLAGE AFTER LIVE MORTAR SHELL FOUND:

Panic gripped the border village of Narayanpur in Sambadistrict after a live Pakistani 82mm mortar shell was found in a field near theInternational Border.

A bomb disposal squad was called in to defuse the shellafter villagers informed the police.
