2 Jammu hotels asked to deposit Rs 1.3 cr in tax evasion cases

Sleuths of State Taxes Department Wednesday conducted extensive inspections and issued notices to two prominent hotels of Jammu to deposit an amount of Rs 1.3 crore in connection with tax evasion.

“Notices were issued to Parin Group of Hotels and HotelDolphin to deposit Rs 88 lakh and Rs 53 lakh on account of tax,” a statementissued by the department said.

   

Department issued notice to Parin Group of Hotels and HotelDolphin and asked them to deposit an amount of Rs 88 lakh and Rs 53 lakh onaccount of tax and penalty for the accounting years 2017-18 and 2018-19.

To check the GST evasions, women officers of the State TaxesDepartment, Jammu, comprising AnjuAnand, Anissa Nabi, Savita, Pooja and Ruchiand State Tax Inspectors conducted inspections in boutiques, beauty parlours,hotels and other non-GST fillers of Jammu.The State Taxes Department, Jammu also referredthe matter of fake GST racket, busted on March 5, 2019 to Crime Branch forregistration of FIR and bringing the culprits to justice and fixation ofresponsibility.
