Chairman, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, and Co-Chairman, Baldev Singh Raina, will be attending the Horasis India meeting 2019 at Segovia, Spain from 23 to 25 June 2019.
The Indian Business Delegation from J&K will berepresented by Chaya on this prestigious global platform, a statement heresaid. Mukhtar Ahmad Shah, CEO, RoyalGroup of Companies and State Expert Committee Chair of PHDCCI will also be partof the business delegation.
“Horasis will convene its Horasis India Meeting in Segovia,Spain, from 23 to 24 June, to be co-hosted by IE University and Organized byPHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and All India ManagementAssociation (AIMA),” the statement said
It said as many as 300 members of the Horasis VisionsCommunity will gather to jointly inspire India’s future.
The delegates from India and abroad will also debate how touse Spain and India as hub for expansion into Europe.
Chaya in his official statement said, “Horasis IndiaMeeting is a global discussion forum, offering a platform to explore and fostercooperation, impact investing and sustainable growth across the world.
“Despite J&K’s troubled past, we have a great deal ofoptimism for its future. We are experiencing a very profound change in theState.
“We do acknowledge the difficulties that Kashmir is going through,especially from the perspective of investors, but just like every other son ofthe soil, we are optimistic for the future. The stakeholders are recognizingthe progress being made by the administration and business community togetherand we are very hopeful that a positive change will happen very soon,” Chayasaid.
He said there are various other issues “that we will betalking up in Horasis India Meeting and we will use this global platform tofoster the global and national investors to invest in J&K. We will inspirethem to attend the upcoming J&K Global Investors Meet scheduled inOctober.”
Raina said, “We are poised to discuss means of restoringfaith in the idea of an egalitarian globalization, and to devise actionableplans for ensuring that the fruits of globalization are more evenly distributedat the Horasis India Meeting.
Shah in his statement said, “Being a part of thisconvention, we would be listening to the world industry leaders on businessrelations between India and rest of the world and at the same time we will beexposing our views and opinions to these world business leaders.
“The main aim of our participation is to focus on Kashmir’sBusiness and trade issues and opportunities,” he said.
The delegation will include a talk advocating theafter-years of economic isolation and subsequent recession, how the state’seconomy can be got back on track and what structural reforms are necessary toattract necessary investments from outside.
