Farooq Abdullah greets people on Shab-e-Baraat

National Conference President and MP from Srinagar Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday greeted people on annual observance of Shab-e-Baraat.

Abdullah while greeting thepeople said Shab-e-Baraat was the night of forgiveness and atonement.”Allah almighty grants forgiveness to all those who repent on this virtuousnight. It is a revered night of forgiveness and salvation. As such the entiremonth of Shaban is virtuous, but on the Laila-ul Baraat, the gates of salvationand forgiveness are opened by Allah for those who seek his mercy,” he said.

   

“Allah is only our saviorand He only can redeem us from the current crises,” he said, asking people toabide by the COVID19 protocol and advisories from government.

“We are going through agrave crises, any misstep by any person can put lives of scores of people in trouble.Therefore, I would request people to heed the advisories of various governmentagencies. Appreciatively, and rightfully all the religious scholars have alsoasked people to take required steps to impede spread of the humanity’s worstever public health nightmare. People should follow the advisories,” Abdullahsaid.

“Meantime, it is foraffluent class to come to the rescue of have-nots. I am sure if all of us pitchin and congregate our efforts, we would easily sail through the existingcrises. I express my solidarity with the families of those whose loved ones gotdevoured in the COVID19 crises. I pray for early recovery of all those who havetested positive for the contamination,” he said.
