‘Employees yet to get incentive for election duty’

The employees who performed election duty during recently held Municipal and Panchayat polls Wednesday complained that the additional one-month salary promised by the government was not released in their favour.

A delegation of teachers led by Shah Fayaz Ahmad,chairman  teachers’ associationJ&K  told Greater Kashmir that thestate employees who performed election duty during the recently held urbanlocal body and panchayat  elections wereyet to get the additional one-month salary promised by the government.

   

“Not only the promise, an order was issued throughgeneral administration department in this regard. Therefore, it is incumbent onthe governor administration to fulfil that promise so that the morale of the employeesremains high for the upcoming parliamentary and assembly elections,” thedelegation said.

Bashir Ahmad Khan, divisional commissioner Kashmir toldGreater Kashmir that the issue will be resolved.  “We have taken up the issue with thegovernment and expectedly it will be redressed,” he said.
