The vice-president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abdul Rahman Veeri on Sunday urged the Governor’s administration to make all adequate arrangements including uninterrupted power and water supplies for ensuing holy month of Ramadan.
Veeri also underlined the need for the constitution ofspecial market checking squads to keep the check on profiteering, hoarding andblack-marketing and also asked the government to ensure strict implementationof government approved rate list besides the hassle-free home delivery of gassupply to the consumers.
Veeri further demanded that the district level authoritiesacross the state must ensure availability of essential commodities in themarket including vegetables and poultry besides timely supply of gas, Kerosene,flour and sugar from the government depots to the consumers.The PDP vice-president stressed on the need foruninterrupted power and water supply across the state. He asked PDD and PHE todirect their ground level staff to ensure that there is hassle-free water andelectricity supply to the consumers during the holy month of Ramadan.
