HCBA condemns terror attack on worshipers in New Zealand

Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (HCBA), Srinagar, today  strongly condemned the terror attack at the twin mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in which 49 worshippers were killed and many others injured.

“The ghastly act was filmed by the murderer using a go-pro and live streamed across the world to terrorize and frighten the Muslims all over the world,” a Bar spokesman said in a statement.

   

“The attack is an organized and sinister design of multinational terrorist organizations to throttle the fast spreading peaceful and real message of Islam. Such attackers they are aided and assisted by all those, who are inimical to Islam and Muslims,” the statement stated.

“The Bar Association requests all the Muslims of the world to unite at this crucial juncture and initiate measures to ensure that such dastardly attacks are carried out by anti-Islamic forces in future anywhere in the world,” the spokesman said, adding that “The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) should call an urgent meeting of all Islamic countries and while taking stock of situation, find out ways and means to ensure safety and security from the onslaught unleashed on Muslims them by barbaric and communal forces.”

Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement  

Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement also condemned the terror attack on twin mosques in New Zealand.

“These terrorists have no religion. They should be awarded exemplary punishment,” a JKSM spokesman said in a statement.  “The root cause of these gruesome incidents is the Islamphobia which has been a prime factor for these episodes,” he added.

Meanwhile, the spokesman criticized authorities for ‘unleashing arrest spree’ against political activists and released youth.
