Panic gripped Wanabal area here on city outskirts when some inhabitants spotted a leopard in the area on Thursday evening.
Amid the chaos, reports said a local Ghulam Muhammad Sofiwas attacked by some animal resulting in minor injuries. He raised an alarmattracting the attention of neighbors.
Police and wildlife authorities carried search operation onFriday to catch the animal. The operation was going on at the time of filing ofthis report.
Duty office Police Post Rangreth Vakil Ahmad said that”victim is not sure whether the animal was leopard or dog as he could notsee the animal properly in darkness.” “Officials are on job. Allprecautionary measures have been put in place for safety of general public,” hesaid.
