Unidentified gun men shot at and injured a National Conference worker at a villge in south Kashmir’s Shopian district late on Monday evening.
A police official said that at around 9:15 pm unknown gunmen fired upon Sajad Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Razaq in Chitragam village.
He said that Sajad suffered injuries in his right leg andwas shifted to sub district hospital Zainapora from where doctors sent him todistrict hospital Anantnag.
National Confernece member and former lawmaker ShowakatGanietold Greater Kashmir that Sajad was an active worker of the party. He saidGania was shot outside his residence.
On May 8, in a similar incident, unidentified gun men shotat and injured two PDP workers in Zainpora area of the district.
